Playdoh Landforms by Mira

   We have been learning about the land (geography) and how it changes.  So we took playdoh and started making a mountain.  We used the characteristics of a mountain to build it.  A mountain has a peak at the top and it is really steep, sometimes.  After we made a mountain, we put all of our mountains together and made a mountain range!  A mountain range is a lot of mountains together, like a family!  We also noticed there were valleys in our mountain range!  It is the low land between two mountains.  You can find water in the valley because when it rains in the mountains, the water goes down the mountain to a river.  Sometimes, people live in the valley.  Today we made a mesa!  A mesa like a table, long and flat on the top.  It has steep sides and can be found in the desert!
