About Swimming
Mr. Hutson told us the rules of swimming at the center. The rules are no jumping and no rough play in the water. I shared my goggles with DJ. Mr. Hutson let me show how to do the moves. I floated on my back with my arms out.

Writing Celebrations In Forts
I'm LuLu and I'm here to tell you about writing celebrations in forts. We got into groups and built forts, once the forts were built we all got inside our groups' fort. Then we shared our all about book or our literary essay with our group. I think the activity was really cool because we were all in a fort and we also shared our writing pieces. I got to hear really great writing and build a fort!

Hi my name is Jonah. We had a special guest come in two days ago. Her name was Ms.Holly. She taught us about sound and music. She brought two guitars with her. We got to strum the strings. She also brought this giant rubber band called a co-oper band. People got on the ends of the co-oper band and Ms.Holly plucked it. It vibrated for a few seconds. Then we decided to go outside and do it. Once we got inside she gave us these bells and we played songs with them. Then we asked some questions. She answered them. Once we did not have any more questions Ms.Holly played a song on the guitar. The song was called twist and shout. Then she had to leave. We said thank you to her and then she left. It was really fun.

Character Meet and Greet
Hi! My name is Juju. I want to tell you about the character meet and greet. It's about telling people in other class rooms in third grade about you. What we did is dress up into the character you are. We went to different class rooms and we meet up with them then tell them about who you are and what book you are in. Then we told them a little about the book but not all of it. When we went to the other class rooms we brought our reading notebook. In the reading notebook we went to the some day list page. The some day list is for books you might read or you want to read.We had about ten min. to share with other people. You mostly tell them about what you are like and about you. All the teachers dressed up too. Thanks for reading!

Hi my name is Eugene Kang! I will tell you about The Korean Cinderella.
One day Juju's mom came in our classroom and showed us about the story; so I will begin. Mrs.Kim Juju's mom, showed us the clothing about Korean culture. It looked really different from our clothing; but to me it wasn't new to me. You see, when I was born I wore the same thing. The tradition was called the 100th day; that is your baby celebration. You wear something its called hanbok. So,Mrs.Kim brought in the hanbok it looked big. In Korea you wear the clothing hanbok on your birthday and on other traditions. So I will begin to tell about the Korean Cinderella, the story begins with a girl; her mother dies but the father and the girl lives.' The father remarries the omoni, which means mother; the omoni has a daughter who is mean to the girl. The omoni gives [Pear Blossom which is the girl] work. The animals help Pear Blossom first the du-co-be[which is the frog]then the birds and last the black ox. Then the prince comes and called hey you. That made Pear Blossom think is he calling to me?
Then Pear Blossom runs away. Then Pear Blossom goes to a festival she was eating the treats and the fruits that the black ox gave her. But she left her shoe, the prince saw it and thought who's shoe is this?
he thought; the prince was looking for someone who was missing a shoe until the prince went to Pear Blossom omoni was mad. The shoe was hers so thats how the story goes. Try compare the story with the real U.S.A cinderella. It was a good time to meet you thanks for reading!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi. My name is John. I'm here to talk about Aunt Dona. Aunt Dona brought an Enviroscape. An Enviroscape is like a model of the land. Aunt Dona showed us what should go in and out of the storm drain. What should go in the storm drain is and only water. What should not go in the storm drain are: trash, fertilizer, oil, and grass clipping. She also taught us about the places that clean the Mississippi River water and helps keep the water reusable. Aunt Dona works for the place that cleans the water.
The Gulf of Mexico has a huge dead spot. It is a place in the water that has nothing but garbage! This was caused by the pollution from the Mississippi River! We used the Enviroscape to show what humans do to affect the water and land around us. We put pollution, oil, grass clippings, and more on the Enviroscape and then we made the water cycle happen! It rained and the rain pushed all the oil, grass clippings and trash into the storm drain that went out to the Mississippi River! This is how it gets polluted! We have to stop polluting or littering because then the Mississippi water can stop being polluted. Then the dead spot in the Gulf of Mexico can stop growing!
